就近一致是指由部分短语引导主语，谓语动词依据挨近它的主语名词决定单复数形式。1. There be, Here be句式的就近原则。比如：There is a book and some pencils on the desk.桌子上有一本书和几支铅笔。There are some pencils and a book on the desk.桌子上有几支铅笔和一本书。2. Either. . . or. . . , Neither. . . nor. . . , Not only. . . but also. . . 引导主语时的就近原则。比如：Either you or your brother has forgotten to turn off the light before going to bed.不是你就是你弟弟睡觉前忘了关灯。Not only Tom but (also) his parents enjoy swimming.不只汤姆，而且他的爸爸妈妈也都爱游泳。
